What does Seer mean?
Seer is for Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio. The SEER rating is the Btu of cooling output during a typical cooling-season divided by the total electric energy input in watt-hours (W·h) during the same period. The higher the seer, the lower the operating cost.
What is variable speed?
Variable speed describes the air handler blower. The blower is controlled by an ECM and is very efficient.
What is AFUE?
The Annual Fuel Usage Efficiency is a measure of thermal efficiency from furnaces. An 80% rating on a furnace means that 80% of the heat produced is being used. So the higher the number the greater efficiency and lower fuel usage.
